Took the relay off my daughter's little quad an put it on my son's same situation the little relay clicks only any suggestions what may be wrong or where to start. Cross out the relay terminals with a screw driver and see if the starter runs. If it does, you need a relay. If you do then you know your ignition is working. If you do have a spark then pour some gas down the cylander and put back plug and see if it fires.

From there it should hold pressure and the pump should run while cranking to keep pressure to the system. If turned off and back on soon after the pump will not run if the pressure is still there.

'04 Ranger had a weak battery and got a new one. Afterwards no start or warning lights that you usually get with switch on. The only thing that appears to be getting power is the fuel pump. Oct 11, 2013 · It didn't look like it had been used. I got a new switch and thought it was ready to go but now it cranks and will not start. I pulled a plug and it appeared to have spark. I sprayed ether in the intake and it started and ran for about 1 second. Because its hard to drive and spray started fluid at the same time I need to go further.

It's fuel injected and you can jump across the solenoid and it will turn over that way but it's not firing and I'm getting power to the solenoid when you turn the key but it won't turn over and I replaced the solenoid along with a programmable ecm that's a plug in play ecm. You should see a timing mark on the stator. If you dont turn the cam gear one more revolution.
