Re: Miller BlueStar 2E AC/DC. I think you will find a shorted SCR 50 on the pcb. Check between pin C and J. Label and remove wires and test with ohmmeter. J is ground and C is the ground for the coil. SCR 50 connects C to J to turn solenoid on. Get owner's manual, diagrams are all in there. Reply.
Re: 1980 miller blue star 2e No power. Output problem. Check R1 the rheostat and make sure it makes good contact all the way around. The check R4 Large resistor with a band clamp. It is what is called a fixed adjustable resister. While it is running though I am still getting very low voltage at all three 115v plugs and only small sparks from the welding leads.

Should be approximately 5ohms with the plunger extended and approximately 24ohms with the plunger pushed firmly all the way in.
