Is it worth for me to do a masters in bms? I plan on taking a gap year just to study for the MCAT and add on some ECs such as volunteering and possibly research. I will be graduating in the spring with a BS in Biology.That is where people (esp biomedical) fall into traps. They apply to a ton of programs that are all highly competitive (UCSD, Berkeley, UCLA, Penn, Vanderbilt, UTSW, Emory, Mount Sinai/Icahn SOM etc). Don’t do this. Your GPA isn't one that would fit that category, and you run the risk of earning the same GPA or lower as these programs can be quite tough. If you wanna take more classes, you can do a DIY post bacc, and focus on scoring well on the MCAT.
