IMO Odachi is one of the easier weapons to use, and fists is one of the harder ones, so the difference in effectiveness may simply be experience. There's no reason they wouldn't be fine together. Ah well id just like to know how to improve with both in some way. Fist are very fun but odachi is so safe.
