From a person who had Yanling Wang, Professor Xie is by far the worst professor I've had at PSU. The man is arrogant, unwilling to be corrected by students (who turn out later to be correct), and stubborn beyond comparison.Find and rate your professor or schoolIf you're looking for an easy passing grade, take this class. No problem. But if you want better than a B-, there are so many better professors at PSU. There's a lot of easy homework to get you a passing grade. However, the content checks (6-12% of grade) were miserably unfair. Her lessons are all online and she reviews during class but she barely does so going to class isn't a necessity. The tests were not that easy so definitely study. Dr. Funk is one of the best professors at Penn State. He cracks several jokes during lectures and makes learning orgo II enjoyable. His exams are very similar to his HW's and Practice Exam, so pay attention to those.
